Frankenstein llega a cines (Pero solo a algunos)
La versión cinematográfica del director mexicano Guillermo del Toro de la novela Frankenstein está próxima a estrenarse el 23 de octubre en cines “selectos” de 28 estados del país, antes de su llegada a Netflix el 7 de noviembre.
La película de horror con tintes de ciencia ficción gótica está protagonizada por Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi y Mia Goth. Según del Toro, la cinta pretende explorar el conflicto moral del personaje principal, conservando la esencia de la autora Mary Shelley. Si bien se centra en las emociones de una criatura ajena al ser humano, es también un reflejo de la humanidad, pues busca aceptación y compañía.
La proyección en cines incluye distintas sedes repartidas a lo largo del país; algunos estados, como la Ciudad de México, contarán con más variedad de salas incluso autocines, mientras que otros solo ofrecerán una opción, como Ocosingo, Chiapas, reconocida como la capital mundial del tamal chiapaneco. En Querétaro habrá tres opciones para disfrutar del filme: Cinedot en Centro Sur, Cinetop en Tequisquiapan y Cinebox en San Juan del Río.
Actualmente, la cinta forma parte del Festival BFI de Londres 2025, que se lleva a cabo del 8 al 19 de octubre. Posteriormente, podrá ser vista por el público tanto en cines como a través de la plataforma de streaming.
